DRAMA AT UON AS TWO THIEVES TRIED TO STEAL BUT CAUGHT BY COMRADES

By Maritim Evans
There was a drama yesterday at the University of Nairobi Main Campus after two alleged thieves were descended upon by comrades.
It was around 6pm yesterday evening when one of the thieves were found trying to still a laptop in Hall 7. Comrades who were filled with furry could not allow him to undertake the act and so the thieve tried to use the powers of his legs to run, but could not go far before comrades caught him up.
The thieve, whose name could not be identified, realized that comrades were faster than him and he decided to leave what he wanted to steal and ran out of the hostel only to be followed by a mob of comrades who ran after him. He was found outside Hall 9 hostel where seniour comrades are living and he could not be spared.
Thieves being worked upon by a mob. Yesterday two thieves were intercepted at UoN.
Anyone could hit him with whatever stick they had and some could stone him. If security guards had failed to intervene the young thieve would be dead now. In fact no one knows his fate. He was later on taken to university clinic to receive medication, but nurses at the clinic said they could not treat him and therefore referred him to Kenyatta National Hospital.
As if that was not enough, another thief who is believed to be an outsider was yesternight found trying to steal some items at Hall 1 hostel. Comrades cannot spare anyone nowadays and they are fond of raising an alarm as first as possible. A loud noise was heard calling “mwizi! mwizi! mwizi! mwzi!” and all over sudden nearly everybody who was inside Hall 2 that is adjacent to Hall 1 was out. Fellow comrades from Hall 1 also came out and ran after the thief who headed to Chancellor Court University (AKA Graduation Square).
The thief was so fast that the comrades could not find him. He could jump over high fence where comrades could not jump. So as the comrades were trying to look for where to pass to the other side of the fence, the thief was running fast at the other side of the fence.
Comrades ran after him as far as National Museum which is about a kilometer from the hostel. They later on not found him and they decided to leave,
Some comrades could identify the thief. They said he was hanging around the Hall 1 and Hall 2 hostel at twilight hours of yesterday. Some said the man must be in his early 30s.
