The arrival of the President Uhuru Kenyatta excited many in the country, Kenya. The President touched down at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport this morning from The Hague where he had gone to attend Status Conference of the case leveled against him after 2007/2008 election violence.
The people were informed yesterday that the President would use Jogoo Road in his way from the airport to his office located at Harambee Avenue, Nairobi. A huge throng of Kenyatta’s supporters turned out in large numbers to the road this morning to see and welcome the President.
Most of them were carrying Kenyan Flags and some carried Kenyatta’s portrait to show their support to the President.

The excitement of the people to see their President was, however, curtailed by several police officers who would push them out of the road to pave way for the President motorcade to pass.
Additionally, the President resumed his powers yesterday 6pm after the expiry of 24 hours he gave to his deputy on Monday to act as the president while he attends status conference at The Hague, the Netherlands.
The outcome of the status conference is yet to be known since both the prosecution and the defence had different requests: the prosecution asked for indefinite adjournment of the case while the defence asked for termination of the case.
